Gone - Sell Easy and Fast App Reviews

Nice interface, pretty cool logo and name which should be acknowledged. I like this app more than Craigslist cause of the more comfortable use, automated push notifications that do the job for you. I love how it includes all the features of logistics and I dont have to bother much about it. Selling unneeded things and making extra cash has never been that easy!

The wife’s been on back about selling the old stuff in the garage lately so I gave Ebay and Craigslist a shot but they were no help as Ebay took all the money out of everything and Craigslist gave me unpleasant offers to say the least. Then I came across this app and one other and all my troubles were solved, I’ve sold my junk and my wife’s off my back. Would recommend to anyone with their wives on their back. :)

This is such a cool app. I love that the app basically takes care of the hard work for you. Once its set up its only takes a couple minutes to get my items on to sale then I wait for them to find me a buyer. I only wish you could do other items besides electronics. Hopefully soon!!

It seems that Gone is only interested in current tech items (phones, tablets, computers) that they can easily test and flip. Anyone can do this on their own with free local services (BooKoo, OfferUp, etc) and pocket the full sale amount. Im wary of any group that asks for access to my emails and receipts (as Gone does) so they were denied that. I tested five products that have high resale value that are NOT tech items, all were denied, including a HTF 3D printer filament that fetches hundreds of dollars in Maker sites. They missed out on that one. Guess they are too busy trying to take advantage of sellers with tech items. Unless you have a garage filled with current iPads, this is not worth the effort.

I cant use my home address. I want to use the service as it looks awesome! But without being able to use my address-- its useless for me! Bummer

This app is a big waste of time. Once they even pick up the item, it takes 14+ days for them to "check" it -- whatever that means. This service is supposed to be convenient but frankly its way easier to just sell your item yourself on Craigslist or even EBay or Amazon. With this horrendous service, this company wont be around for very long.

It took about a month for them to finish checking my item and put it up for sale, and even then they didnt do it until I prompted them about it. It still hasnt sold, no idea if it will. Just use eBay, way easier and faster.

The idea of the app is great, and would be my main way of selling items if not for two major concerns: 1. The process is really slow. It takes around 1 week for them to ship you a box, an additional week for you to ship it back and have them process it. Finally, it may take up to months for your item to sell. The entire process will take up to 2-3 months. 2. They dont accept a lot of items. They only accept mainly in high demand electronics. If you have anything else, they wont accept it. Furthermore, the price they offer is relatively low.

The app itself is fine, the service itself is long, drawn out, and frustrating.

I can understand why a lot of people dont like this app. But for me I have had a great experience! Yes it took 1 to 3 months to sell everything I gave them. That is the "slow" people are referring to. But I dont see the point in complaining, if it is so easy to sell it faster, do it yourself. Personally I am lazy and I also travel a lot and leave on trips that last a month or more. So having someone sell my items for me and have them on hand to sell is a great service for me. Most of the stuff I gave them I had laying around for months if not years anyways, so giving it to them to sell for me, was a really good option. Better then laying around collecting more dust and depreciating in value. It made me realize I should start selling all my used stuff right away rather then saving it. This app isnt for everyone, thats if you want super fast that is. For me it works great. (New items sell faster by the way, so dont expect everything to sell at the same speed) I sold 8 item in less then 3 months. Over $2,200 worth!

I liked this app and the service until they started using push notifications as an advertising channel. Heres my old 5 star review from before they started that nonsense: Ive used Gone twice now and it works great. They pick up your used stuff and they give you money for it. Theres a delay in between but they are getting better at it, and I imagine their new Amazon Gift Card support will speed that along a lot if you use Amazon. Summary: great app, great service.

I just had a notification "You just received ten dollars from Gone." I hadnt. When I went to the app it said it WOULD give me ten dollars as a holiday present WHEN I sold an item. I dont appreciate that.

It took a few months to sell an item that I didnt need anyway (old iPhone) - way better than trying to do it myself. The customer support team is fast, responsive, and extremely helpful.

Just as much work as an eBay listing.. Plus gone is going to take a cut and deny your listing if it is not a popular electronic device. Just install eBay and save yourself the hassle. This app is now GONE from my phone.

It did take a really long time for them to find a buyer. But I am happy that I was able to sell my stuff for a competitive price without spending time on updating ads on craigslist and 5 miles. I will use this again for sure for stuff that I dont have a set time frame to sell because delays can be pretty long.

This app helped me a lot, its seamless integrates with my Amazon account. Great to use because its beautiful too!

I am a Freak over Gone! Its like having my own yard sale and then going shopping at someone elses. Plus, if your really looking for new stuff you can find that too. Its like a shopping spree for free! Thanks Gone!

Sold quite a few items lately - loving this product and mobile app particularly.

Really convenient and it works. Sometimes it works really slowly but its better than procrastinating or dealing with eBay.
